Prelude Strings
Welcome to Prelude Strings, the intermediate string orchestra of the Tennessee Youth Symphony! We are a group of musically talented and highly motivated students who come together to create beautiful music and memories.
Our ensemble is made up of violin, viola, cello, and bass players, and we welcome students of all ages and skill levels to join us. Whether you're a middle school student or older, if you have a passion for music and a drive to improve, we want you to be a part of our family.
We meet weekly from September to April to rehearse and perfect our craft. Our rehearsals are a mix of fun and hard work, as we explore a variety of string orchestra music, receive expert sectional training, and enjoy small group instruction.
We are proud to be a part of the Tennessee Youth Symphony, and we love to share our music with the community. Throughout the year, we have several opportunities to perform in concerts, giving us a chance to showcase our skills and make a difference in the lives of those who hear us.
