Our Mission
Purpose
The purpose of The Tennessee Youth Symphony is to provide high-quality musical training and educational opportunities for young musicians in middle Tennessee through its three performing ensembles, which rehearse on a weekly basis from September to May. As a 501(C)3 organization, TYS aims to foster the growth and development of young musicians and promote the appreciation of music in the community.

The mission of the Tennessee Youth Symphony is to foster musical excellence and community among young musicians in Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas by providing superior musical training and diverse performance opportunities, ultimately enriching the lives of young people and promoting a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
